bread

Pita bread recipe
1.5 c whole wheat flour
1.5 c all purpose flour
1.5 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tbs olive oil
1 1/4 water
yeast

Prepare yeast according to package directions. Mix dry ingredients, then add water, yeast and oil. Mix with wooden spoon until dough forms a ball. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Put dough in a bowl coated with olive oil, cover with a damp towel and let it rise for 90 minutes. After dough has risen, tear it into 8 balls, then let them rest for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. After dough has risen a second time, roll out the dough flat, then place on baking sheet. Bake for 3-5 minutes. Delicious!

  2. I think this is going to allow me to comment. Being technologically challenged tonight, I am pondering how this B site found an earlier profile picture when the twitter account would not let me comment.
